Taner Sener - ITI Programme Manager

An acknowledged Senior ITI Project Manager / ITI Programme Manager with a multilingual and strong multicultural background experienced in working in environments with European, US and Asian cultural diversities. Taner has worked for some of the world's largest blue-chip corporations, and has extensive experience of successfully delivering very large, critical and complex programmes by displaying exemplary stakeholder relations, project resource management and organisational skills throughout the entire project lifecycle.

He has in-depth knowledge of business & technology forecasting and strategy allied to the implementation and integration of major infrastructure, gained in international finance environments employing enterprise scale architectures. His recent achievements have seen him engaged in projects covering the entire portfolio of one of the world’s largest financial institutions, including corporate lending, commercial and domestic insurance, retail banking and investments including pensions.

Taner regularly works collaboratively with Senior Managers and Group Executives, negotiating with 3rd party suppliers and reporting directly to board level. He is used to controlling large budgets (£10m+) and managing teams of 50+ senior staff in globally dispersed teams often in a Matrix environment. Whilst maintaining this high-level focus, Taner still finds time to liaise closely with his teams to ensure that lower level tasks are running smoothly and to oversee any remedial action that may be required.

Working for global corporations has given Taner the opportunity to refine his skills in dealing with multicultural teams, specifically across Europe, the US and Asia. His appreciation of cultural differences, allied to his excellent interpersonal skills, makes him an ideal choice for achieving high performance from such teams. This is achieved by maintaining an awareness of the personal and cultural differences of each of the team members, and tailoring his engagement, communication and monitoring practices to best suit each individual.

He has formal practitioner level accreditation in formal project management methodologies e.g. PRINCE2 and MSP, allied to excellent interpersonal skills. His exemplary leadership, problem solving and decision making abilities ensure that he can deliver projects to agreed quality, cost and timelines by building and maintaining a focused, motivated team.

He currently lives in Edinburgh, United Kingdom with his wife and two children. Taner is keen to explore challenging opportunities across Europe, Asia and North America.
